My Story

As a physician with experience in two healthcare start-up companies, I have learned how advancing technology is changing the way we practice medicine. I want to bring these advanced MRI, CT, and genetic screening tests here in our community of Santa Barbara, California.

I believe you deserve to understand your body on a deep level. If technology is advancing and allows you to detect early signs of cancer before you have any symptoms, I believe that you deserve to have access to that technology. For the first time ever, high-quality whole body MRI is available to you here in Santa Barbara.

My life’s passion is to help people understand their health on a deep level. When cancer is caught at an early stage like on a screening MRI, you have many more treatment options than if cancer is found at a late stage. For this reason, I want you to understand your health now so that you can be empowered to life a long and full life.

My Education and Work Experience:

  • Medical Degree (MD) from Loma Linda University,
    Loma Linda, California

  • Consulting Physician at the Health Nucleus,
    La Jolla, California

  • Assistant Clinical Professor, UC Riverside School of Medicine, Riverside, California

  • Assistant Program Director, Marian Residency Program, Santa Maria, California

  • Consulting Physician at QBio, Mountain View, California

The Process

With a Whole Body MRI, we will scan your head, neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvis for any signs of cancer. This scan takes about 50 minutes and you will be able to listen to the music of your choice during the scan. If desired, you may take medication to relax you during the exam.

One week after your MRI, Dr. Heidi Millard will review your MRI images with you and discuss your health findings with you. If you have any specific health concerns, Dr. Millard will spend time discussing the MRI findings relevant to your concerns.

If you want to include other imaging testing, genetic screening, lab testing, or continuous glucose monitoring, Dr. Millard will be able to add these tests for you to complete your health work-up. Get started on understanding your health and book your free consultation today!
